Agnew Transport Services Ltd is part of the Agnew Group which also has strong Horticulture and Orcharding interests in the Hawkes Bay.
The transport operation began in 1984 with the purchase of a TK Bedford truck, carting hay. It now operates a fleet of 50 vehicles during the harvesting season.
The company has predominately focused on rural servicing activities involving cartage throughout Hawkes Bay, and linehaul to processors in other provinces. Commodities carted include fresh produce, aggregate, fertilizer, silage, compost, maize,stock food and general bulk freight.
The company has a contracting division undertaking metal extraction, excavation work, orchard/vineyard removal and redevelopment,rural track formation and maintenance.
The fleet consists of a mix of modern bulk tipper units, multi flatdeck/tipper convertible units and dedicated curtainsiders. The fleet configuration is truck and trailer.
Current key client includes: Mr Apple Group, Apatu Farms and Heinz Watties, Sunfruit, Gair Contracting and Higgins.
